Church Relations
Purpose: Recruit and nurture the support of churches to be a part of all facets
of the affiliate life.
Fund Raising and Marketing Student Special Events CommitteeFamily Partners Purpose: Welcomes new families into the Habitat family, and provides them with a mutual support system, educational opportunities, and a forum for discussions pertaining to Habitat home ownership. The Family Partner works directly with the prospective homeowner in many different ways, offering support in any area where it is needed. The Family Partner is a friend and advocate for the prospective homeowner, and acts as a liaison between the homeowner and Habitat.
Family Selection
Purpose: Screens applications, interviews prospective families, and recommends families to the board for approval for home ownership.
Site Planning and Construction
Purpose: Represents realtors, architects, civil
engineers, city planners, crew leaders, materials acquisition and volunteers as they work on construction forecast plans. Works closely
with the Project Manager to coordinate the planning for land negotiations, DDA (disposition and development agreements),plans/permits,
fund raising and all phases of construction.
Volunteer Committee
Purpose: Helps manage and coordinate volunteers matching their skills to construction, committees, and special events.
