New Volunteers:
To REGISTER online:
1. Click on the VolunteerUP logo at top of page. This
will take you to the Project Calendar.
2. At the top of the Project Calendar, you'll see various tabs. Click
on the "Log In" tab to begin your registration process.
3. Because you're a new user, you'll want to go to "I am
a New Volunteer". Click "Register". This will take you to the "Volunteer Profile" page.
4. Fill out the complete
page. At the bottom, double click on "Register". This will complete your application process.
5. After
registering, you can go to the calendar page and click on the date you wish to volunteer.
Outreach Volunteers:
We are striving to improve the quality of information provided at our Outreach events. We are also striving to
offer opportunities for those who need to earn “Community Service” hours.
There are a couple of excellent opportunities to become
familiar with our mission.
We ask you to complete at least one of these before representing us at an outreach event.
2) Attend a Volunteer Orientation.
These are offered monthly and are listed on the VolunteerUP calendar.
“What is Habitat?". Please be prepared
with an answer to this often asked question:
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian organization that partners
with future and current homeowners to build simple, decent, and affordable housing for low to very low-income families. Volunteers
and future homeowners work together in the building process. Houses are sold at no profit and owners are charged no interest. The
purpose of the organization is to bring families and communities in need together with resources and volunteers to eliminate
substandard housing in low-income areas.
