Pomona Valley Habitat ReStore depends heavily on volunteers. We need help with cashiering responsibilities, picking up donations, organizing products, performing maintenance on our facilities and much more.
Habitat Helpers assist with the everyday needs of the Habitat ReStore. As a Habitat Helper, you can volunteer one-time, a few times, every now ‘n then, or regularly! As a Habitat Helper, you will make your own schedule within the store’s hours of operation, and when you volunteer, you will be asked to manage the store’s most important tasks of the day. Tasks can include: accepting and sorting donations, making displays on the sales floor, general cleaning, administrative work, and customer service! To get started, you simply need to attend a regularly-offered orientation; following the orientation, you can access the sign-up calendar to schedule your volunteer shift!
The ReStore holds volunteer orientations at 9:30 AM on the first and third Saturday of each month. The sessions last approximately 30 minutes. You don’t have to bring anything with you and reservations aren’t required. These orientations give volunteers an opportunity to check out the ReStore and see if it is a good fit for them. It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and a chance to see how you can best serve our organization. ReStore address is 4609 Holt Blvd., Montclair, CA 91763. 909-399-0202.
